Our desire is to provide a creative learning environment in which each child feels special and believes in themselves that emphasizes on social, emotional, and intellectual development to develop children's desire to be life –long learners with creative minds, strong bodies, and kind hearts.
As part of our mission, our second priority in environment is enrichment. We enrich the environment to promote learning through the guidance of our curriculum and our many extra programs. More specifically, we enrich the environment by organizing our classrooms into learning centers. Furthermore, we enrich each center each week by adding projects, items, and other learning opportunities that are of interest. Finally, we enrich through our extra programs that we provide. We know that a safe and friendly environment is crucial for learning and development.
Children need to explore during learning to gain understanding and mastery of knowledge and skills. We want them to be actively involved in solving problems to develop their critical thinking skills. Children should be able to apply their learning to meaningful everyday topics they can relate to; this promotes a desire to stay actively engaged in the learning process by seeing, hearing and touching.
This is an area that we feel is extremely important and like to assist with. This is achieved both cognitively and through self-help physical skills. Cognitively, we will be working on becoming confident, independent thinkers by allowing them to complete ideas and tasks semi-on their own which gives them an, "I can do this” attitude.
Physically, we will assist with basic, but essential daily tasks such as: taking shoes off, then putting on, eating more independently, adding more variety of foods, and using the bathroom more efficiently, to name just a few.
A child's self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between our children and staff. Therefore we strive to build a team of teachers that are loving, experienced and passionate. Teachers who are committed to helping us achieve our mission by tailoring the curriculum to meet each child's needs, so each child is able to feel a part of the classroom community.
What makes us different is that your child will have the essential bonding with our teachers through their entire day, smaller groups, individual attention and leadership opportunities to multiple aged peers.
We believe that happy, loved and connected children are destined for success in every facet of their lives.
At Encino Creative Kids, we believe that children are naturally curious and that they learn through exploring and creating. It is important to focus on the whole child. The early years are the most critical and impressionable time in a child's life. It is important to ensure the experiences during this time have a positive lasting impression on both the child and family.
Our programs are designed to promote creativity and learning with enthusiasm and encouragement. We feel very strongly that young children’s brains are growing at a rapid rate. They benefit from being provided with opportunities to notice, react, adapt, and develop ideas based on their emotional experiences. When you teach /role model how to recognize feelings, understand where they came from, and how to properly deal with them, you teach children the most essential skills for success in life. This is our ultimate goal!
Using exploration and discovery as a way of learning, ECK offers age appropriate programs for older infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and an extensive Kindergarten Readiness program for children that miss the deadline. These enable children to develop confidence, creativity, lifelong critical thinking skills, and most importantly the love of learning.
ECK knows that many family's schedules make difficult to take their child to sports, art classes, lessons after a long day at work, so we have brought the fun to ECK. Weekly, we offer our children Messy Art, Fun Science experiments, Cooking projects, computer lessons, and themed FUN Fridays. We require a bi-annual supplies fee of $140
Thursday mornings, we have Super Soccer Stars come give a lesson (ages 2 & up) Currently the fee is $15 class/paid in 8 week sessions.
We provide daily hands-on activities and a place where your child can spend time with their friends.
